Day One

Okay.  It's day One.  Driving to Texas by way of California, Arizona and the tail of New Mexico!

I'm hoping to drive at least 650 miles a day for 3 1/2 days.  First stop Coalinga CA!

And so it begins...

Didn't need my tire chains leaving Oregon. However, I did pass a snowplow carrying brush and tree stumps.
Oh oh...hide the fruit.  Plausible deniability might work!

If you're wondering how we're going to build a house from the roof down and even if you're not here is some pictures of construction prior to my arrival.

This is actually brilliant thinking as when a framed wall that we just construct falls over at least the roof won't crash down on our heads!
My last issue before leaving was buying a new framing hammer. Now that should have been an easy purchase but my darling wife (dw) said I couldn't swing a hammer like when I was young.  I'm not sure but I think my manhood was slammed.  Anyway, she bought me a framing nail gun. Take that Viagra!

...until the next blog.  Next stop, Casa Grande Arizona!

  1. It's ok to admit that you can't do what you used to do. But on the bright side you can definitely do things you never used to be able to do!
